Chelsea Lovitt is a singer and writer born and raised in south Mississippi, that inescapable linchpin for blues, grit, and dark sense of humor. After studying literature, Chelsea moved to Nashville to begin a career in songwriting. Since then, she has lived in France, the UK, and New Orleans writing, playing and soaking in folk influence wherever she may find it.
Chelsea threw down her first recordings at an old studio on music row with friends Ben Bivens of "Sweet Peach" and Zack Murphy of "the Blackfoot Gypsies" to debut a rough simplicity of sound and fury. Sticking to her inherent roots of rock and roll, blues and folk, she drifts to a garage tone with a timeless persona that haunts anyone of a poetic conviction.
